The newest fully-fledged member of the ARAG family has launched in Ireland with a familiar team of market professionals, that already share decades of legal expenses insurance experience between them.

Following the acquisition announced in March, ARAG Legal Protection Limited has now received regulatory approval and opened for business, in Dublin, on December 1st. ARAG immediately became the market-leading provider of legal expenses insurance products in Ireland, and the Group now has active operations in 19 countries around the world.

The ARAG team in Dublin will continue to work from its offices on Harcourt Street and is led by CEO and former President of the Insurance Institute of Ireland, Adrienne O’Sullivan who said:

Throughout its recent transition, the ARAG team in Ireland has been supported by several colleagues here in the UK. Some of them were involved when legal expenses insurance was first launched in Ireland in the 1990s, including our managing director, Tony Buss, who added:

I worked with Adrienne and some of her team for several years, back when legal protection was new to the Irish insurance market. So, I am delighted that they are now joining the ARAG family. ARAG has launched with a full suite of legal expenses insurance products for businesses, families, motorists and landlords that are sold through its broker and insurer partners.
